The process of connecting individual interests and aptitudes with possible career choices is an important part of every student's educational experience at Red Bud Middle School. YouScience uses a series of engaging ‘brain games’ to objectively measure aptitudes most important to career choice. The results include a discovery profile designed to help students better understand their natural abilities, broaden awareness of career opportunities, and make more informed decisions about their individual pathway from school to career.

What About College?How does the future look?
As the need for a more educated workforce in the state continues to grow, the occupational groups that include education after high school will increase. According to the Georgia Workforce Trends 2028 Report, employment will grow in every educational category through 2028 in Georgia. Nearly over 153,000 new jobs will be added in occupations generally requiring a bachelor’s degree; nearly 151,000 new jobs will be created in occupations that require a high school diploma or equivalent; over 140,000 new jobs will be created in occupations generally requiring no formal educational credential and nearly 58,000 new jobs will be in occupations requiring some college or postsecondary award. |
Dual EnrollmentGeorgia’s Dual Enrollment Program provides students enrolled at an eligible public or private high school or home study program in Georgia the opportunity to earn high school and college credit at a participating eligible postsecondary institution in Georgia.
Georgia’s Dual Enrollment Program offers students in 10th, 11th and 12th grades the opportunity to experience college courses and begin their college academic career while still in high school and provides for standard tuition, mandatory fees and required books. The program is offered during all terms of the school year. |
